ABOUT US

Usner Excavating was started in 1970 by Rodney & Wanda Usner when they purchased a 1959 Mack B61 dump truck and a 450 John Deere crawler loader. We still have the Mack B-Model and hope to restore it someday. After several years, a couple of employees were hired, but Rod always wanted to stay a small and humble company. In 1988 Rod and Wanda’s oldest son, Rodney II,  graduated from high school and became another full-time employee. In 1993 their only daughter, Jen, took over managing the office and allowed Wanda to retire. Next, Frank joined the business in 1995 followed by Marshall and Matthew in 2000. The business has continued to include, primarily, family with a couple of other employees who have become like family to us.
